LEK, Strategy&, and maybe Alix Partners, EY-P, and Kearney were preferred to Deloitte when I was at CBS. A lot of students also preferred Amazon or strategy roles at big tech over Deloitte. The Deloitte tuition reimbursement is good but I believe it’s only for people who interned there. I believe it’s also only for 1 year’s tuition and you have to pay taxes on it

I feel like everyone wanted MBB then they took whichever T2 they liked best if they didn’t get MBB. The T2’s that most people preferred in my class seemed like S& and LEK. I recruited during 2020 so recruiting was a little different than other years.

I was Kellogg pre covid and I think most people just ended up going where the felt they fit in the most of it was T2. That’s what I did, I didn’t care at all about the differences in slight perception if not MBB and applied accordingly.

ATK — literally the fourth MBB it’s baby McKinsey
this thread lmaoooo
At INSEAD, most people who didn't get an MBB went into any of the T2 without specific preference - took whichever had best location / package AFAIK
Could also be Bridgespan for social impact or Huron if healthcare or higher Ed.

Don‘t think anyone who gets a T2 offer would take Deloitte over them.
Most of the summer grads I talked to:
1) IB, MBB, PE
2) T2
3) B4
Didn‘t put tech / industry roles in their bc their profile, goals are often different so would be hard to say where that ranks
Everyone at my school with a non-MBB cross offer took Deloitte over the tier 2 firm just because they only plan to be in consulting for 2 years and tuition reimbursement.
I graduated from one such b school. Deloitte won every non-MBB cross offer in my class, as you say basically only because of tuition reimbursement. I do think people know they’d probably get a better experience elsewhere though (just my sense) and honestly all in pay is barely higher than tier 2 firms even considering the tuition reimbursement because of lower salary and bonuses. I view strategy& in a better light than Deloitte in terms of what the actual experience would be.

Deloitte lost almost every single cross T2 offer at my M7 too

So... It was a joke? Hence the 🙃.

It also depends on which firms come to campus.

It definitely was Deloitte when I was around
Chief
Same. It was the clear #4 in my time lol
Chief
Okay, so looks like we have a solid place in the perception rankings. I’m glad to see this!

Pls share the recruiting deck you pull together with this group
Definitely LEK = S&, then EYP, ATK = Deloitte, Accenture
I know on FB OW seems to have some clout but at my T10 no one talked about it
OW doesn’t do a lot of on campus recruiting. Just witnessed it internally and we don’t fight it out for on campus presence compared to some of these other firms. We’ll get a few apps and take the top applicants which is plenty
