What are exit opportunities from big 4 ITDD??
Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
Trying for job change from past 8 odd months and have been applying for many job posts and job openings all of it has been rejected - nothing is working out.

DD1, so your typical generalist consulting engagement role wouldn’t really translate for a PM role? Even if leading these engagements?
You can learn the skills you need on your own or through certification PMC is one cert. Skills in consulting would translate well - product management is a lot about being able to influence and guide without have much authority in an organization. Like how you get clients and people at and above your level to do things for you
The thing with product manager roles is that industry companies need to see prior experience in successfully launching a product and for the most part, in consulting we are technology implementors (salesforce, netsuite, watson, etc) and not true product managers similar in other companies. So you do have to weave a very compelling story to fit into the mold of tech product management to get the job
My two cents as I am facing very similar issues as I try to break into product management. Getting branded as a generalist which cant say anymore if good or bad 🤔
.
Lots of people from Digital go into those roles. Typically if you are a functional lead/M role a project you wear the product manager hat as well and help guide the client product manager etc
It depends what kind of projects you are doing. Is there any tech involved?
