I had call with the HR for he position based out of Mumbai everything in interview and they are ready to share the offer. however, I quoted for 10 lakhs and they said for fixed pay of 8.75.
Although, i checked on Google as well average pay they are giving is 9.7 lakh
So should I accept the offer as per their negotiation or shall positively tell them why 10 lakh is justified?

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. Joining a big(ish)law litigation/investigations practice group in a few weeks. Only biglaw friends I have do transactional so I see what their schedules are like but not sure how lit compares.

Anybody have any insight into how lit is different? Is it more predictable/regular? Less? What do you think the major differences (beyond substance obviously) are between the two?

I work as the only associate on deals for one “smaller” (still by no means small) client that intentionally doesn’t invite me to calls or tells me before hand to not join so they don’t have to pay for two lawyers. The partner expects me to handle most of the issues discussed on the calls on my own, but the client doesn’t want me on them. Anyone dealt with this?

Fifth year labor and employment associate at Big4 L&E firm (think Littler) and am considering making a move into big law (think Jones Day, Goodwin, etc.) Any thoughts on if it’s worth it this late in my associate career? Also, do those big firms take 6-8 year L&E laterals?

For litgation we're thinking past pleadings and MTDS then X, Discovery than Y, SMJ motions then Z trial then Q.

What are your thoughts on this ? What are my issues here. I think the hardest one is to predict discovery. But I also think we can outsource some of this to cheeper labor and lean on our tech to not actually have to review everything.

Usually anonymity on the internet brings out the absolute worst in ppl; they type things anonymously that they would NEVER say in person smh. But I really haven’t seen horrible comments here. In your experience, what is the best way to effectively and efficiently delegate work to junior attorneys? Or, if you are a junior attorney, what works well when you are on the receiving end?

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?
