You could call it “consulting work” while you were looking for full-time employment.
Best bet is to do everything you can to prove them right for the next 6 months. Document your trainings and show your ability to instantly imput the feedback. If results dont change, you can say you gave it your all & it just wasnt a good fit. But best to have proven results
I’d say SOL… 5 months is too long of a gap to explain away by just removing it. Keep applying but know it’s gonna come up again and again
OP this same thing happened to me. A company totally lied about what my bonus amounts would really be and I was so mad. I ended up leaving and I left it off my resume but I wasn't there as long as you have been. That is really tough because 5 months is a big gap to explain. You could always try taking it off and sending out your resume to see if you get better results.
You should include it but just explain what happened or just say you’re looking for better opportunities as you feel they are not challenging you or helping you build on your career.
