What does everyone make practicing workers comp?
Folks, Need help. How is EY India based out of 22 Camac Street Calcutta/Kolkata? As I am already aware that I have been recruited for Client Implementation, so mostly will be on Clients place as a Manager Role for Tech Consulting. Can anyone give more information about work culture? Also came to know there are less Consultants available on my domain (SAP SD) and EY India is building practice and actively hiring. Got to know mixed review on Work Life balance. Also time to get promoted as Sr Mgr?

I have a case interview scheduled for next week for a LinkedIn BizOps Senior Associate Role.
I have 4.5 YOE in tech consulting but haven’t had to do a true case study since I was interviewing for consulting almost 5 years ago, but the thought of a case study stresses me out just as much (if not more) than it did back then.
I normally do super well for behavioral interviews but historically freak myself out for cases.
Any tips on what the case might be like or generally what to expect?
Have a conversation.. listen what they have to offer. And then buy time to think.
Don’t say or commit anything on the call.
Nope. It’s shady. Lookup the reviews on glassdoor and proceed, specifically the negative ones that sound honest and looks like someone took the time to write up.
Reviews seem positivs - but the role I applied for is a new team at the company. I'm surprised because in the last email exchange, the hiring manager implied that I should give them a decision sooner vs later, so I did.
Assuming the team, company and package broadly interest you try to speak to the person who will actually manage you. Be absolutely clear about your reservations and whether there is a role for you given these. It sounds to me like they are interested in you and (unsurprisingly as a startup) probably very flexible about specific tasks (they probably don’t even know them exactly yet!).
May come with the start up environment, but I don't think I'm at the stage in my career yet to be a one man team... Out of respect I'll definitely speak to them on the phone, but I don't think my skills match what they need for this role.
I had this happen to me about 2 months ago! I think places are really trying to make a leap and do great things by acquiring the best people.
I didn’t accept the role though because it felt weirdly sketch so yeet
What did you end up saying? I want to be respectful and give them a reason, but not sure if I have anything to add to the fact that it's not a great fit
Interesting! I have never had that happen to me
Negotiations are not always about money. They can be about how you would build a team around you, budget responsibility, or growth promises.
Any insights on how to navigate would be helpful!
Had this happen to me but with a larger company than a startup.
Not sure what to think other than 1) desperate for ppl / not getting enough apps, 2) actually wanting me on the team.
Didn't take the offer because I wanted a role that was a different fit. But it did make me question mt decision a little
I think be honest that it's not what you're looking for and express your thanks and appreciation for their time and reaching out again.
But yes take the call and keep an open mind.
