Weird question - i know a number of folks who worked in generic marketing or sales type roles who found their way to companies like faang amex/visa, etc, doing similar sales or marketing work. Lately, as they’ve been promoted, they now call them themselves things like “strategy lead” or “growth lead” or “strategy director” - are marketing and sales roles really pivoting into strategy and growth as we here think of them, or are those just fancy titles that still mean sales and marketing?

Anyone use Amex Send + Split with venmo or paypal? I pay rent through venmo and this looks like I could use my amex to do that without fees but it seems too good to be true?

Have some incoming big purchases (10k) on my way and looking to open a new CC. Currently have the chase preferred, Amex gold and a few other cash back cards. Looking for a card with a decent SUB and benefits. Have considered the Amex platinum but open to other ideas.

Recently received 80k offer for Amex Gold and 150k offer for Platinum. Currently use CSR for travel and dining, which we will downgrade later this year as wife got CSP for 100k bonus (which we might upgrade to CSR to keep 1.5x redemption). Considering Gold for groceries (family of 4) and potentially for dining over CSP/CSR. With groceries, 4x return will just offset AF. Have no exp with MP. Worth getting gold? Can I later (next month) also get Platinum for bonus for when travel starts again?
