What are some reasons why you’d leave public accounting after a year and half?

I had completed my engineering and mba but never worked as a software engineer. I started my career in sales and am now working as a PO. So I lack technical knowledge as well. Have recently started learning Azure DE through videos (purchased Udemy course - Amit Navgire). But unable to understand much. Even if I am able to understand, just forget it the very next day (like steps to create linked service to storage or Data Lake account, etc..)
