Did just this 3 years ago.
IT Audit(1.5 yr) -> data analytics at random company (1 yr)-> data analytics at big name tech company
I was a database person in college
I did a GitHub project in python using a API from census bureau
I did some tech stuff at KPMG
Wrote some Stuff up on my resume
It’s honestly about how you sell yourself
You’re in consulting you should be able to do that
What I would warn against is going back to school just do a data analytics bootcamp if you need organization
If you have absolutely no skills and no experience then yeah go back to school but really consider just a bootcamp if it’s much cheaper. You don’t need to be an expert in data analytics to get a random job that’s not in tech. Just need to know the basics of sql, python and reporting in excel. Once you get the job you’ll learn more about the ins and outs and understand the things that can be more efficient.
