What happens when an MBB senior partner leaves?

We have a few that “retired” and moved to our firm… I’m curious, do they get a bit pay out or something?

I see data scientist, senior, and principal lvls at McK and I'm not sure how quickly people are promoted there. And what's the comp range for each level? I see 100k, 130k, 200k respectively in Glassdoor but not sure if that's true.

I’m currently working at a T2 and have recently applied to all three MBB’s at the consultant level- each for the NYC office. I’ve been rejected at the resume stage for all three and not sure what went wrong. I have an M7 MBA, good work experience, and applied with a referral each time. I’ve also had folks from each company look over my resume to ensure quality. Is it because I’m applying only the NYC office that my resume is getting dinged? Feeling so incredibly disheartened.

Which summer internship would be most attractive to MBB for FT recruiting - LEK, EYP or tech?
Currently a first year MBA at a target school. I did not land a summer internship with MBB (messed up during case interview) and want to try again in the fall. I’m optimistic about my chances with LEK and EYP for the summer but now also considering tech strategy roles. PreMBA experience was in boutique, niche consulting.

At my current firm, been seeing a lot of people get extended until eternity on the same project / clients. One of the big draws of consulting was the variety, which I am not getting here. Just signed with an MBB. Will I finally get project variety or will I continue to work at one client for up to a year?

4.5 YOE - currently planning to apply for a McK role - should I go for Associate, Senior Associate or EM?

McK website says need 5 YOE to even go for Associate which seems absurd.

If applying to Bain, how much does a referral help for an experienced hire? Does the referral have to be from the office you're applying to?

For BCGers in LA, how often are you in the office now? Looking to move in the area but not sure if I’ll be in the office enough to warrant renting a place in downtown next to the office.
