Right now I'll go with Amazon Prime Visa. I wouldn't recommend subscribing to Prime just for a credit card. But if you already have Prime, then this card is a must-have. Uncapped 5% back at a store where you can buy just about anything non-grocery, at a competitive price? Yes please.
Honestly, the best credit card is no credit card. You can get along just fine with a debit card and it's a myth that you need a credit score. I have no debt so I have no credit score. It has never been a problem except one car rental place made me put down a deposit (not really a big deal). Back when I had a mortgage they just had to do what is called manual underwriting (basically show them a few bank statements and paystubs).
This is not correct ^
No debts doesn't mean no credit score. You accrue credit by paying off monthly bills on time (or neglecting) even if you dont have debt. I used to think this but realized I had great credit with no prior cards nor debt when I went to buy a house.
I pay my card off relatively quickly so I have never paid interest in the past few years but have accrued tons of points which have given my wife and I free hotel stays and flights. So that's a net win. It overrides the fees.
Rental cars can be a pain without a card, especially if you're traveling internationally.
You should aim to be financially literate, regardless of if you use debt or not.
As a student you have tons of options. Create a credit karma account and check out interest rates, benefits, and if you want travel points

This a good resource for reviews
If you are a student/this is a first credit card only look at cards with no annual fees
