Don't forget the stellar work life balance and commitment to technology to reduce the grunt work that nobody likes.
Not better benefits than PwC 😉
If you want a detailed response maybe start with a full run down on Pwc’s for comparison? Retirement: 401k 50% match up to 6% and a separate defined benefit plan. PTO - starts at three weeks and goes to 4 at manager,+ 3 personal days (no difference to PTO), 10 holidays (they can float but standard is 4 day weekends for Memorial Day, the 4th and Labor Day). Cell phone is flat $60 reimbursement for all (significantly reduced a year or two ago, lot of disgruntlement). Gym is covered under a quality of life program that reimburses something like 75% of $500 worth of spend (numbers could be slightly off there, but it can be for a gym, fitness equipment other similar things). An annoyance for ex Pwc people is EY requires you to settle your corporate amex (you get cash from firm from expense reports and have to pay amex - upside is opportunity to participate in membership rewards if you’re a heavy traveler and the fee makes sense).
KPMG has 25 days pto
KPMG gets Omaha steaks or Ben and Jerry’s each summer...obvs the best perk
Yup 25% match. You also get 10 sick days/personal days from what I remember. We get constant emails of remaining balance we can use
Do you guys have a firm shutdown in between Christmas and New year's?
But we did get the week of 4th of July this year off.
I'm in BD. Joined the firm as an experienced hire as Supervising Associate and was promoted in a year to Assistant Director.
Gym: 75% of expenses up to $500/year
Phone: $60/month (not sure what it is for non-execs)
Vacation: 15 days + 3 personal days, option to buy 10 additional days. I think execs get more vacation (like 20 days).
isnt EY 401(k) only 25% match?
401k is 50% match up to 6% of base salary after 4 years. It's 25% up to 6% prior to that. We also have a pension.
I get 22 vacation days and 3 personal days as an assistant director. There are a whole slew of other benefits and I would guess they are comparable to the other Big 4. Not much difference. However, one notable difference that does exist is the phone allowance. EY only reimburses for $60/mo... and that's for everyone... doesn't matter your rank. That kicked in a couple of years ago and it sucks. Who can find a plan for $60? Get real EY.
nope
EY5, are you in HR? How many years did it take you to move up to Asst Dir?
Unlimited FTO, cell phone paid, 25 per month towards gym membership, 25% match on first 6% of 401k and firm paid defined benefit plan... More work/life balance than my time at PwC
