Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

25% post tax/post retirement. And that doesn’t include college savings. It’s worth every penny, though. My kids went to public for elementary but after 2 years at the public middle school for my oldest, I knew that it was not an environment that he would be successful in and moved him. It has made a huge difference.
If 20% of after tax income is all you're spending that's amazing. In NYC private school for 2 kids is like 100k.
Yes in LA it’s pretty much $50k a year everywhere unless you go to a private religious school in the valley. So you’re forced to buy a 2200 square foot house for over $2 million in a good school district. Ugh.
What are your thoughts on the private religious schools? I’m in Dixie Canyon now for elementary but wondering if I should do private religious high school like Chaminade for middle/high or try for Buckley, Harvard Westlake, etc. I went to Catholic school (didn’t love or hate it but we are not religious).
I spend exactly 20% post-tax for 2 kids
I’m about to start paying half my base salary to send my two kids to private schools. I can only do this because my husband (not their dad) makes more so it’s not like my salary is what pays for all our living expenses. It’s insanely expensive and the choice depends on how good your public school is. Mine was very good and my kids went until now. My daughter is switching to private at the end of elementary and I think that went well and was happy with how public elementary went. My son is now going into HS and I wish I had moved him to private sooner. The MS education was ok but the kids don’t get as much support. And many parents who never know where their kids are or don’t care. All his friends are always out and about until late at night walking around and have been since 6th grade. The culture is not one of wanting to do well and caring about grades.
