AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

I haven't worked at a "big 4", but every time I've quit a job it was because of my boss.
I came into Deloitte as a cybersecurity SME, and they tried to make me a regular manager. I refused, things soured and I eventually got laid off. Best thing that ever happened to me was getting Deloitte on my resume, which took my already large salary to another level.
Would I ever work for another big 4? Not a chance in hell.
Thats my experience as well. Large companies like that seem to have the same sorts of problems entrenched in their framework.

Try again. Don't pin that lame label on what really happened.
I was working a temp contract for Tesla. When a test didn't go as expected, my soldering was blamed. I proved that was false, AND found the root cause. When I proved it, with an experiment, I was told "Okay, well there's nothing for you to do until we redesign, so today is your last day."
A week into my next contract, Tesla wanted me back. After the complete disregard for my contribution and even my well-being, my reply was two words: "absolutely not".
I've had a situation like that as well.
