What would you do if you have way less clients than your peers? Do you wait until you are assigned more clients or speak up? I'm a high performer but not utilized to my fullest capacity.

Wow. This is not a problem that most of us have. I bet people would be tickled pink if you spoke up.

Clients or hours. At PwC the number of clients may not be directly correlated to utilization. As new Senior Manager I had dozens of clients, 2 years later I had 2. My chargeable hours didn’t change.

You had 600 billables from jan-april?? Are you sure you're a top performer... Surprised to hear your hours are that low and nobody wanted your assistance elsewhere. Sounds like either your office client base is really small or you're not doing as well as your peers.

like

Are you unassigned or do you just have larger clients? If you're unassigned & everyone else is, that may be an indication of your performance.

Yep manager and will be a senior manager in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. We have a wide variety of needs but don’t necessarily need to have this future person have all these skills. For example we need someone with great copywriting skills and also need someone who is great at digital marketing. This person doesn’t necessarily need to have both skills but if they did great, but if only one, great too.

So my VP at my previous company felt bad and refused to speak to me or attend my farewell after my resignation. His reason was that I somehow betrayed his trust as he had promoted me just last year (after keeping the position open for 4 months and letting me take additional work load after the previous SM left!). Does this make any sense? I mean where does this sense of entitlement or ownership over the employees come from? No wonder the company in question is kind of facing a literal exodus!
