There’s no worst feeling that to be rejected by someone you love. I gave my heart and time to someone I thought felt the same towards me for more than a year. They decided to end the relationship cause they didn’t feel the same, and even though I appreciate the honesty, it hurts a lot!

I have to support my family financially. Usually my mom cooks for the family so groceries only cost $1200/month. However, my mom is abroad for 2 months so it’s just my siblings and they can’t cook so they’ve been using my card for doordash. I think there are days when they spend $100+/day. It’s frustrating because my mom already told them the daily budget repeatedly. I’ll go bankrupt at that rate. However, it’s not like I can take my card back since I don’t want them to starve…

Dad passed away 2 months ago. I traveled to India and stayed for 2 months, dealt with significant red tape to close his cards, loans, transfer pensions, etc. A succession certificate is WIP for one of his accounts, so mom decided to stay back until it’s done. We had evaluations and normally we have annual raises. I think my salary is under market value at $68k (plus OT) in Los Angeles (5 years of experience). I was told I am one of the top employees in the firm. When I asked about a raise, I was told “when you think about it at your level 5k to 10k doesn’t really matter it’s the long term goal that matters”. What would be your response to that, to a partner who is making 500-600k a year?
