Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

Apply to roles directly and network with in-house recruiters and resource managers. The RMs usually only oversee freelance, but can pass your info along to hiring managers and recruiters too.
Hmm you could talk to a recruiter but honestly I would just start with applying for roles on Linked in and Indeed. I would also try to get referrals for roles you are interested in. I would probably do those two things first and then talk to a recruiter if nothing pans out.
Depending on how much time you have available, I would apply directly to the company. Then attempt to find the recruiter and ask next steps. Applying directly to the company let them know that you are interested in the company and you didn’t find a random ad on indeed.
I do like using indeed and linkedin to get an idea of who is hiring for what, but without broadcasting it to everyone. I think right now directly applying with a company is the best way to go. You can get a better idea of what is available that way too before saying anything.
Honestly, I’d do both. If you have a longstanding relationship with a seasoned recruiter, they can give you tips. After all, they know people at many different agencies/holding companies. They know who’s doing well and who isn’t. I’ve had recruiters give me tips about agency jobs they know about but aren’t handling, for example.
