I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?
Is there a home buying group for Seattle area?

I just reached the 7 year mark. My upcoming raise puts me at $113k, which means I'm underpaid for my field/location by $20-$30k.
Needless to say, I'm interviewing for other jobs.
No, mid-Atlantic; very HCOL area. Grew up in the midwest, though, so I know how stupid rich I would be out there lol.
Total compensation puts me around $120k, 5 years in. Base is about $100k. Would like more, but for my industry, location, and degree, I think it's very competitive
Texas or Utah?
Midwest here. $88k with 12.5 YOE....
Same company since getting out of school
I’m at 112k, no bonuses with 5 YOE. I’m satisfied.
5 years in and I'm at $90k. I live in a lower cost of living area in the US. When I interviewed around for a similar position earlier this year before landing this one, most companies were around the same or a bit less.
Rising Star
I do feel fairly compensated for the area I live in. Would I like more money? Always. As long as I keep getting raises every year to account for my added knowledge/growth and to keep up with inflation, then I will likely stay in my current company.
14 years of experience excluding co-ops/internships. Base of $180k with variable bonus based on company performance (nominal payout is 10%).
Location?
12 years, 185-215K CAD
I'm at 3.5 years and 85K, I have peers who are higher but I'm good with where I am now, I want to get higher in a few years.
24 YOE, 6 at current organization. Salary of $108 plus bonus anywhere from 5-10%. If max bonus is reached, I am underpaid for my location/position average ~$30K.
I know you can do the math, but I was curious what it comes to. If you make a few reasonable assumptions (you work for 14 more years before retiring, your 401k contribution is 5%, your employer contributes 4%, and your money grows annually at 6%), then that $30k annually results in a yearly investment loss of $2700. When compounded over 14 years with the same loss each subsequent year, the total loss of investment at your retirement totals $56740. $25218 of that is from your employer's matching. That ignores any raises you would receive, and of course also ignores the gross $30k annually.
6 years experience, 126k, Oregon, I feel underpaid. I feel like all of my counterparts are underpaid as well. Salary, no paid OT even though there’s plenty of overtime work expected.
Just reached $103k at 2.5 years old
Wow, that's a great bonus! How do bonuses work at your company?
3500 AED Monthly
I’m at 105k with no bonus. Last job at 100k and 20% bonus. 25yrs exp, but in many areas of engineering, six sigma and lean in many industries. Location is key. Std of living is good here. My son makes almost as much as me at 3 yrs, but his apt is 3x my mortgage in Boston.
$77k, 2 YOE, in the Midwest. I've felt good about my compensation, but in the last 6 months I've had a big increase in responsibility and the next 6 months are going to come with even more when someone on my team retires. If I don't see a bump in pay during that time I will become frustrated for sure.
7.5 YOE, $102k base. Underpaid by about $10k when considering role/performance average (and probably closer to $20k compared to market).
Project Engineer Mechanical with 8byears of experience and getting 120000 per month. Seems not not good as per market value but nothing has to do
Recently moved from design to program management with 13 YOE total. $136k base salary in metro Atlanta.
Having served an apprenticeship as a coppersmith, working all over Europe gaining great experience working with great people , deciding to move to New Zealand, am now a successful business owner with a turnover of 10 million per annum.
Key to success enjoy your work, listen to the people who want to engage you and learn, most of all take the best care of the people who care for your business including your employees and supplier.
