As an AS in 2019
Gonna depend on the market/location too (fyi)
“Retire on time.” What a concept.
Also, l was making 6 figures, but now only five and I am hoping to keep those five. Salary depends on client business.
Trying to retire from the industry before the industry retires me.
Broke ~$15k over 100k at AS level
I hit $105K in 2019 as an AS in LA
I’m 7 years in (30 yo) and trapped at an underpaying SAE position. I make 72k in Chicago. No promotions or raises at my agency for over a year now (inching near 2) and I’ve transitioned to new teams twice due to budget needs/they say I’m valuable (been here 4 tears). Been looking for a new job since May and I’ve been ghosted by every single agency that has reached out to me 🫠
My minimum salary in interviews is 95k though, which is standard for AS roles in Chicago, and I ask for 100 if it’s non-agency and Glassdoor/reviews support it.
What holding Co is your agency part of?
As an SAM with 8 yrs experience at 115k
Where? If you don't mind me asking.
I make $98,500 as a new-ish AS… so close 😭 I started at 38k as an account coordinator and found that every new role I had after that was a pretty good jump to where I am now.
Well let's just say it wasn't overnight. I had to work hard, put in the long hours, and learn to deal with my fair share of client tantrums. But in the end it was all worth it. About 6 years?
what cities are you in making 6 figures as an AS? I just promoted (super thrilled about) but I wont lie, I was expecting my salary bump to be higher.

100K as an AS in NYC (2021)
When I became a mgt. sup in 2016 in LA.
In secondary markets (like KC where I am), it’s probably at the Account Director level so probably in the 8-10 years of experience range? Your experience may vary.
