When shopping for a car, do you look for the nicest car within your budget? Or do you look for the cheapest, reliable option?

For context, I am 23 years old, married young, and think that I have made financially responsible decisions up to this point (debt-free!) Part of me wants to ‘treat ourselves’ with a nice car that we both love, but we can easily find another car that would get us from point A to point B for 1/3 of the price.

Have you thought about a “middle option”? I like nice cars but hate eating the year one depreciation. So, I typically buy late model CPO for ~50% of what I’d pay for the same thing new. Eg 3yo bmw 440 x drive for ~$34k.

Hi-I have 120K in cash in HYSA. After keeping emergency fund aside. Still have 75-80K available that I plan to invest. After 401k, HSA, IRA and monthly expenses: we are left with 6K every month. So investing 12K every month in market. My worry is with that rate - it will take us 12-14 months to move the extra 75-80K mentioned above. However do not want to make a bulk move. Any advise how to plan the switch. At present have 60K invested in stocks. Thanks
