Where did you all go to college?

Any ways to offset a low gpa (3.45)? I scored a 760 on my gmat but I’m really only aiming for M7 schools. I’m also an Indian male who studied CS at a top ranked Engineering School.

If I’m at a T2 (OW/LEK/ATK) strategy shop, would going to a T3 MBA (Darden, Fuqua, Stern, Tuck, etc) improve my current brand, or more so keep neutral....have no doubt the M7 would enhance, but struggling to see huge upside in the others given the financial & time investment required

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school

I’m an experienced candidate who recently got an interview at BCG. Assume I’m not successful and I were to go for a one-year MBA starting in the fall, will I get an interview even if I don’t do the GMAT? I heard MBBs like the GMAT for MBA candidates, but if I can get the interview without the MBA, will the gmat make a difference while I’m in the MBA?

Taking my GMAT in 7 weeks. Just finished the large Kaplan book and have done 2 practice tests so far. What should I do next? Worth investing in a GMAT tutor? Getting 600 on practice tests but want a 690~.

The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Is it feasible to go straight for MBA right after undergrad? Or is it better practice to get some work experience first?

How important is a master's degree for your career? Can you have longevity and thrive in the tech world with just a bachelor's? Asking this because I've been preparing for CAT this year and I feel like my preparation is only good enough to get me around 90-95 %ile which is not enough to get a call from the top IIMs. I've been preparing alongside my job and its been a tough 3 months. When is the best time to leave and go to another big4? I am at PwC and I knew the reputation they had and Some people said It may not be for me because of it. Dumb questions but genuinely curious:

1) Let’s say you’re a recent undergrad candidate with no internships on your resume. What’s the deciding factor that you’re qualified for Advisory vs Tax vs Audit? Is it school, gpa, etc.?

2) Why can’t you switch from Tax to another SL without having to pull strings? I understand that there’s a difference in tax vs book experience but why does the Accounting field gatekeep other SLs? It’s not like we’re incapable of learning other areas.
