What is first year partner compensation?
So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Can you meet with some folks in the practice to learn more? Ask to speak with someone at level - ask them for the good and the bad. Personally I would narrow it to OW and Slalom.
My husband is at Slalom as an SP and it’s fine. He gets frustrated by the lack of work ethic of some folks on his team and the inconsistent processes, but they’ve done a decent job of giving him salary increases to keep him competitive over time. It’s a family-oriented place, and he’s staying longer than he might have otherwise because of it. (There’s probably also some “devil you know” mixed in there.). It’s a good culture, you can get interesting work if you’re strong, but the inconsistent quality of junior folks can be tough.
If you have family and want WLB then slalom
Sign-on bonus is a 1 time payout. Salary is a base hand-up for all future negotiations.
Not EYP- brand value is going to tank w spin off. OW is a very safe, strong bet in my opinion
haha nah

The best option is to call us here at McKinsey
Yeah I’ll take one if you don’t mind. I do have a strong application (I think)
slalom YOY raises are significantly lower than the alternatives
These are widely different roles. Just know that SP at Slalom is roughly a lateral level move from M, and has sales targets. Also Slalom pay progression is a lot slower than your other offers, esp given first two offers are entry level vs, Slalom SP is considered a leadership role and 200, depending on the market, is approaching the upper end of the band
Totally agree with P2. I have spent some years at slalom and the WLB ends at SC level.

OW. Unless you are heavily prioritizing WLB than Slalom
All things considered equal, Can’t go wrong with either EYP or OW. Third not a consideration
Rest Varying Factors include Bonus, PTO, Title, Location, People etc

Depends on what you are looking for. The reality here matches up with the reputation - Great WLB, Bad raises.
I came over here from Deloitte to get a bit of a breather, focus more on tech, and then transition to industry. The plan is going according to plan so far.
FWIW, I think we are a much stronger feeder into tech than folks give us credit for, if that’s a goal of yours.
I am assuming you are a Manager with one of the Big4. Mentioning the level being offered by EYP, OW and Slalom will help us respond better. Also, the core competency (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Salesforce)
Joining as M at Slalom?

Slalom for that ROI on your hours put in
How did you line up 3 offers at the same time? You are in demand

Whichever you sign with bring me along lol
They all seem like good offers best of luck!
Honestly for 12 YOE, all of these seem kinda low. How many year of Consulting experience?
If you’re thinking about exit opportunities, the three of those options look exactly the same to non-consultants.
Go with the higher base and better WLB
I too almost responded similarly EYP8, but most of those types of jobs (PE, fortune 100 strat roles) are such a small proportion of total exits.
For OP, if you’re the ‘shoot for the stars’ type, OW and EYP over Slalom every day of the week and twice on Sundays (it’s not a fair fight), but for like 90% of positions out there, CO1’s recommendation holds true.
Slalom for WLB and you'll likely have a longer consulting career. Brand name? At a certain point in your career, it becomes overrated.
Slalom has the best culture of anywhere I’ve worked. They’re offering you the highest base. I’d consider the value of your time/ work-life balance to make this decisions.
All sound great! Congrats on the offers!
Thank you! 12 years experience mixed industry and consulting

Slalom pays $200? What level?
As for EY-P, for more context, your end of year bonus at that level will be around 25-35k

Self reported ranges from last FY were 18-35% ($33k-$65k)
