Why is it when someone gives an unsolicited “practice pointer,” I can’t help but think they don’t do this to non POC associates? My partner was irritated that I said I was covering for another associate and said “as a practice pointer” I shouldn’t say that in the future. But bruh i was on a call with people for the first time. So tired of this crap

My dept has 2 directors. One is so rude. The other ignores the issue. The previous HR director told me to report any issues because she was building a case (not appropriate info to share, I know). How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. It hasn't explicitly been said, but I'm one of the only Black attorneys at the firm and I think my white colleagues and partners see me as an example of how Black folks "should be" cause I mind my business.
