WLB at FAANG companies? I've heard it can be bad, especially at FB, but mostly from engineers that aren't used to >40 hrs a week. Any insights?

So I'm winding down a three-month LOA for my mental health and burnout. It took a month to feel semi-normal; new meds, new routines, and therapy. Now that I'm closing in on my return date, I feel as though I've made no progress at all. The feeling of dread in dealing with the job is starting to overwhelm me again, and I feel hopeless. I have discussed the mid-career crisis aspect and think I'm still there, I just do not care about the job anymore.

Lets us discuss why Indian companies expects/forces/ us to work more than 9 hours but in timesheet we have to fill 8.
Managers schedule meeting after office hours and expects us to be available always.

Sorry to say this but I have seen only Indians who work extra hours. What's even funny is that the upper management laugh at foreigners who work exactly 8hours.

Should we not change our mentality?
What should we do to not follow this anymore?

I joined KPMG a while ago from federal consulting. Federal consulting had super good work life balance but I’ve been working at KPMG strategy for a while now. 4YOE @Amazon & trying to lateral to a similar role @FAANG. Have my undergrad GPA (3.8/4) on resume from top 15 school but colleague says to take it off (looks silly). If it’s a good school & high GPA, why ever take it off your resume? Even if 10 YOE...can’t hurt?
