Question - do you want to work for a place that is so broken and dysfunctional that your age would factor into their hiring decisions?
I’m not debating that age discrimination exists, but I sure don’t want to work for a firm where it happens, especially as a woman and non-Christian. If they’re condoning doing it to age, you best believe they condone discrimination in other areas.
When you look at the moments when you’ve drive the *most* impact did it happen ten years ago? I highly doubt it.
I’d do selected experience and def drop age from your education if you even include it. The internet exists. Linked In exists. They’ll figure it out if they want.
Now here’s the real ish: network your way into a job. Your resume is a formality. The intro and the interview are everything.
I think your approach is correct. When I review resumes, I don’t care about college graduation dates (unless for young hires so I know how much of the work experience is in school vs out). Also anything over 10 years are little relevance with or without dates anyway.
Several years ago, I removed education dates, along with all experience of more than 20 years old, to both my resume and LinkedIn profile. Made a huge difference in recruiters and interviews
