Starting a new job at Applied Materials on Monday as a Manufacturing Engineer III. I’ve been out of college for 5 years and all of my work experience till now has been in R&D for start ups and small businesses . So not only is this a new experience for me going into such a large company but also a industry (semiconductors). Does anybody has tips or advices on what I should expect as a new hire and how I can set myself up for success? Thanks!

I am okay as long as they are not one of those annoying vegans
Chief
They’re angry because they miss the taste of animals.
I have a couple friend where one is vegetarian and the other likes meat. Their rule is that there’s no meat in the home, but the vegetarian can’t say anything to the meat eater if they order meat while dining out.

This is petty IMHO.
Depends on what we are talking about here. I’d probably not get involved with a woman who is vegan or anything like that. Also, I probably wouldn’t start a relationship with someone who eats a lot of pork or pig products. Now if we are in a relationship and she decided to change her lifestyle that may be a different conversation.
Yes.
I like larger girls but I eat healthy and monitor my weight. What could go wrong
BID1, it's a jump for you to say I'm villainozing someone for liking what they like. That would be true if his sentence ended at "I like larger girls" but it didn't.
It'd be like me saying "I like short guys but have 13 ft ceilings. What could go wrong?"
Larger women and healthy eating are not incompatible. There are thin women who eat junk food all the time
I would not start things if they are extremely unhealthfully.

For me yes. There are certain foods that trigger my binge eating, like junk food.

Are they trying to force that diet on me? Because there ain’t no woman worth going vegan for.

Honestly you know what happens in the long run, even if they’re not forcing their diet on you it just automatically happens when you’re living together

It can be challenging with something like a vegetarian/vegan and a meat eater. But it really depends on how open to compromise and communication both people are.

YES
Nah. I’m dating a vegetation and I very much am not.

I can’t date a vegan and have issues with vegetarians. I love to cook and bake. And it hard to cook and bake with those limitations all the time.

All depends on the stage of the relationship. I’m never dating a vegan or vegetarian or pescatarian again.
