Yes
I'd give up 2 levels tbh
If I'm only 1 or 2 levels above entry yes
Duh
I'd give up 10
Of course. Titles aren't shit. MBB pays better at all levels
Meaning they wouldn't give up a promo to director or MD
Any OW or ATK or other T2 wanna comment? Let's say give up manager to be a new post-MBA hire?
I wouldn't. Know a few people who got offered same level at McK or BCG and declined. Salary is usually as good at OW and ATK (if not higher), but prestige is lower. Usually the firm culture is what guides the final decision.
Yes
Would have almost been Partner at Accenture, but a few years off after become Consultant, did MBA and now EM at McKinsey. Wouldn't go back at all!
Better work, pay and respect from clients. If you wanna stay in consulting it is totally worth it
What do you mean A2?
Even if you have to restart over ?
Yeah, sans serious promotion loss. Salaries are often a level ahead after bonus and everything else is better except for the title, which I can make up.
This is an easy decision. Yes, obviously, unless it was the SM to PPMD promote.
Yes, if I were a manager or senior manager1 but not if I were about to become partner
Why do you think people leave big 4 consulting, spend 200k+ on bschool, lose out on 200k in wages just for a shot at MBB post MBA?
Even if it's not strategy consulting? But other practices?
MBB is MBB pay structure and prestige for generalist strategt is the same as Tech/ implementation. At least at Mck.
