Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Hi Fishes, Sometime back I was interviewed for Technical Support Job role in my domain. T1 went well. T2, in my understanding was better only (not great like T1 but not blunder. I felt it was nice and i replied majority of questions). They released the feedback after 10 days with "Not Positive". I am not totally sure with feedback as I replied majority of questions correct. I am being bit curious with "Microsoft" tag. What can be the reason?
Discussion appreciated.

Like our economy, it’s confused, delirious and ran by paranoid white men.
Some are calling them “layoffs” as a cover for actually firing people. Then turning around and rehiring for the same role. But from what I’ve read, if the people “laid off” challenge it in that case, they could have a lawsuit. But most people won’t pursue one and they know it.
The one I know of recently was less than a few weeks from the “layoff” to the new person getting hired. But they didn’t post it to avoid a paper trail.
It’s also Q4 (almost Nov!) so new reqs opened will take time to fill. Prob pushing closer to EOY or new year so $$ hit to the bottom line is minimized for when the books close
So it'll be easier for me to get a job in January than now, for example?

I honestly think a lot of these open positions are fake. I'm job seeking at the moment and I just get ghosted or auto-rejected whenever I apply. No one is looking at my work.

It kinda feels like "old normal" advertising to me? Small rounds of people getting let go in September/October. Then the next round that happens right around Thanksgiving. And finally those couple stragglers who like to ruin Christmas and do it Dec. 8th-12th.
I think there's a big economic realignment happening. Everything drastically shifted during COVID and now it needs to shift again. Companies are pivoting as demand naturally changes.
I’m expecting things to be pretty bad over the next year.
I’m doing the job of 2 people because of hiring freezes. I’m on the verge of collapsing. I’m exhausted and can’t even think anymore.
We're trimming lots of fat here, and most of our open positions are deemed as priority 2 or 3 hires.

Agencies are replacing quiet quitters with people who care about their jobs. What did we expect? The power has shifted once again to the employer. The economic situation is just an excuse.
