Since it’s promo day for KPMG, What’s the comp. like for tax senior associate at KPMG?

How do people actually negotiate bonus? Don't most firms have specific ranges based on feedback/reviews/rankings at year end?

What’s would be average comp for Workday Manager at KPMG? 4 yoe

What's your current salary and bonus and weekly working hours?

Im in an awkward situation, where I know that my immediate associate who I am mentoring is making more than me (amount is not very significant but approx 4k/annum)
Most likely, it is due to the fact that the person was hired mid-year and salary might have been decided as per then MARKET STANDARDS.
Now I am not sure how to discuss this with the management. Any tips would be appreciated.

Joined Blind over a month ago, and what an eye opener it has been. Tech salaries are insane. Even with the recent tech pull back and layoffs, some of the comps are on a whole another level. Friends in tech say, most layoffs have involved non-engineers (sales,HR, Ops,mrktng etc). Dudes in their late 20s pulling in 350k+. Unreal.

And then I look at my TC/bonus and a sense of disappointment washes over me. Short of becoming a partner, I don't think I can pull these numbers that tech bros post up.

Is it true that in ca companies cannot clawback the sign on bonus?

A friend (more like acquaintance, don’t know him well enough to ask) just got promoted to MD at KPMG. He has been emailing everyone on LinkedIn to thank them and mention he is excited about his next steps (good for him). Our paths crossed briefly so guessing it was a mass email to all connections.

Curious, what is total comp for MD at KPMG?

For someone who is starting in consulting, what tips would you guys give for the best growth? Ik a lot of people say to jump between firms within 1-2 years which significantly increases the salary/title but when do you settle at one firm (in the beginning after graduation pr after 9-10 years)? Also when is it beneficial to aim for bigger reputable companies? Is it when starting or later in the career?

Started my career working for a company through a staffing organization in a contract to hire situation. 9-10 months later, was hired by that company to work for them full time. 0 change in reporting structure or responsibilities - only difference was the company who paid my salary.

Should I have 2 sections (hiring company + staffing firm) or 1 (hiring company) section on the resume? Would like to keep at 1 if possible to reduce fears about job hopping since it was the same role

New EV tax credit salary cap question:
HHI is >300k so won’t qualify. But wife’s income is <150k. We normally file jointly. So is it possible to get the credit if she files single next year and we get the car in her name?

Context: Risk consulting, high COL city, 2 YOE, 83k/yr as an Associate, got promoted this year to senior. Definitely at the middle of my pay band as an Associate, at a minimum expecting a 20% promotion increase, but curious to what another company would offer.

Currently at a top MBA program and was planning to only recruit for tech PM positions. Given how the tech market is doing, wanted to cast a wider net - should I be looking at places like BCG / Bain? They’ve also increased base salary to 190K, which goes far in a LCOL city.

I'm handing in my two weeks next week to go work for a competitor that offered me a 60% salary bump + benefits, after seven months in a contract role. My coworkers have treated me well and I imagine it'll be a surprise that I'm leaving, so how do I structure that conversation? Do I ask my lead if they can meet with me and deliver the news like that, or send an email, or tell my staffing agency first and go from there? It's my first time resigning, so any tips on getting through the conversation?

When waiting for bonus to hit the bank account before submitting a resignation notice, should you wait until the payment is confirmed? Or is having it shown as pending sufficient?

Super disappointed with the salary in the offer I received from McKinsey as an experienced hire going in as "Senior Associate". Is it negotiable? Also, the hiring Partner told me I was joining as "Senior Associate" (which I've understood technically doesn't really exist); however, contract says "Associate" - could this be an error? It's annoying because I was feeling pretty pumped to join, now I'm not sure.

Can someone explain why if you receive a taxed signing bonus and decide to leave within a year you have to pay back the non taxed amount? Doesn’t make any sense, since the additional funds to repay were never given to you. Assuming is has something to do with tax returns but still
