So, our FY ended Sept 30 and I'm cool with not getting a bonus bc I was like 100 hours short. Our entire dept was slow for a few months. My question is whether I should ask to be compensated for the work I originated this year. For context, my salary is $180k and I originated about $80k. I get "100% origination credit" in our billing system, but that only matters for partner pay, not associate. What's a reasonable % to ask for? I know they may just say no, but I at least want to try.

Does anyone know about Axtria? I am an M at KPMG and they gave a SM role but the salary seems low for a senior manager, and they seem to have a ton of titles between Senior Manager and Principal/Partner compared to only Director between manager and partner at K.

Anyone ever save up and pay cash for a house? Thinking of doing it this way because I really don’t want to take out a mortgage. Between partner and I we could save up 2x times our combined compensation over ~3-4 years

Big 4 Deals Advisory versus Investment Banking

2YOE considering a capital markets role at a BB. My current role is great (interesting projects, plenty of partner/client exposure) but why work 70 hr weeks at big 4 for mediocre pay and low bonus when you can work at a bank for 2x comp?

I like my current role but am thinking that IB comp and exit opps may be worth the pain...thoughts?

Did any Big 4 partner (4+ years) exited to ZS? If so, what level at ZS is comparable in terms of responsibility and total comp? What are pros and cons?

Can you give me a sense of what a 4th year partner / managing director can expect at a B4? Role is mostly strategy and operational design in financial services. Looking for salary and bonus range.

Found this base comp info on a H1B site for McK..Assoc (165k), EM (176k), AP (215K) and Partner (250K) for 2020..Can somebody share bonus range at the EM and AP level?

Does going for partner at a Big4 make sense? Sounds like you need to be partner with a few years of tenure to make >$1.5M (total comp). If you take salary divided by hours (and stress), wouldn’t industry and some alt passive income (real estate / startup) make more sense?

I just started in workers compensation. I’m using the desk book as my primary resource and attended a few CLEs but I’m still feeling like I have inadequate resources and practical knowledge. Thoughts on technology consulting SM who doesn't see partner track playing out going to a $1.5B PE firm to do tech strategy work as VP for both the PE internally and also for select companies under management.

Not much increase in base pay but 10-20% better bonus and similar benefits. Also an opportunity for carry but not sure how much.

Wanted to get some thoughts. My wife works in private accounting and just got promoted to manager. We prepared for her compensation negotiation for about a week. She goes in and they low ball her with only a 4k raise. She counters with her value to the firm and the office managing partner literally laughs in her face. You guys think she should just bail? I am embarrassed that this is how they treat their employees.

Currently working at a large civil defense firm but have the opportunity to move to a small two person firm and take over for an attorney becoming a judge. The partners were honest with me and informed me that the firm is having money problems this year- the remaining partner said he may not take a salary next year to ensure I (and our paralegal) are paid. I am a bit worried to leave my financially stable position but also think it’s a great opportunity, thoughts?

What are MBB salary ranges for associate thru partner nowadays?

Is there a big difference in cost of living between NYC and LA? Moving to LA for a job and want to ensure my salary expectations are in the right ballpark.
