I have been in my current role for less than a year. I am really not enjoying it at all and I am applying places but sometimes I feel like maybe I am thinking about leaving too soon. Something is telling me to follow my instincts and look for other opportunities. I have an interview coming up with a big 4 firm and I am nervous about that. There is much administration such as billing and meetings at Big 4. This time is not billable and it takes up about 25% of my time. My question is whether there is a significant portion of this done at other non- Big 4 public accounting firms? Trying to understand if this is a Big 4 expectation only or it will be the same at all firms.

What's a better gig if you aren't sure you want to be an FDD lifer (may want to leave in 3-5 years) - A&M FDD Senior Associate or Big 4 FDD Manager? Would Big 4 FDD offer better exit opps?

I’ve always been a mentor when it comes to navigating through college, landing a job at a big 4 firm or anywhere in general.

I’m in the phase of my life where I want to start an online business or side hustle. I’ve researched and experimented with different things and it’s really hard to execute or stay consistent. I realized now that it’s me who needs a mentor, someone who can help me accomplish this goal and mentor me. The question is, how do I find the right mentor? 😭

Big 4 and MBB engagement managers (helping with scheduling etc.) , the average salary is $120k. Does that sound right? Seems very high since it's up there with audit manager salary.

Has anyone moved from Big 4 to a Tier 2 because they wanted to reset, go down a level (but hopefully getting paid more), build up new skills and become a better consultant with more interesting work ? If so I’d love to hear your story :)

I know it is a little late for some full time roles, so any advice on companies or roles that would fit me would be appreciated.

what specifically worries you about exiting B4 for a TC $200K opportunity at a startup in this economic environment? Surely they wouldn’t lay you off until 12 months or so... right? if you were hired by the CEO

Any other firms hiring Advisory(FAAS/CMAAS/ARA/AAS)? 1 YOE corporate and 1 full year audit at midsize firm as an intern where I also worked on a consulting project related. Seems B4 has slowed hiring except for Deloitte ARA Senior Assistant position I saw.

What is the salary for a senior manager in big 4, trying to benchmark myself with the region standards.

Currently an SC at one of the big 4, ~124,000 in salary, 0-12% bonus. It’s my promotion year but I just got an offer from a smaller firm as Manager, ~145,000 in salary, 0-20% bonus. Big 4 seems to have better upward mobility but the offer seems pretty decent as well. Should I jump ship or stay?

Posting for my last firm: Great WLB firm with fantastic culture. I left because I want to go to big 4 to explore. Great bonus on top of very competitive annual salary (possibly 90-100 for senior). I loved my team a lot there and they truly want me to grow. They encouraged me to go for a big 4 to explore if it's a good career path for me. MA candidates plz.
