Cornell or NYU MBA Program?

Hi everyone! Is there anyone who is in a similar boat where they are now re evaluating the value of an MBA? Rejected from S after interview and deferred to H round 2. I currently work in tech PE and have a path to direct promotions, but ideally had wanted to switch to corporate strategy at a tech firm or do something more entrepreneurial to escape the grind. Now I’m wondering if I should just hop directly but it can be harder given the current economy

I am working as a staff after completing my MBA.(was a fresher when I joined , now YOE: 2 years)
It just doesn’t feel right right to start from the very scratch in a MNC after post-grad.

My MBA batchmates are placed as AM’s and M’s with good packages. I am still struggling.

Working in tech implementation, but getting an MBA from an M7 - Operating associate role at a PE firm exit possible? Figure would just have to flex the network hard to find something, but curious if anyone has seen this background before.

I have always struggled in my career despite being from the best colleges. In my first company, I was given the worst rating bcz I cheated on a tech test (I was not in a tech team), post mba I joined new company & my boss hated me, I was yelled at daily & given double the amount of work. She finally laid me off when covid started. Now I joined this new company, moved countries & after 3 months, I was laid off (with 1K peeps). This has shaken me to the core & I have lost all confidence in myself.

Question: I’m looking at doing my MBA to make a career change. I’m more on the tech side now and want to move into strategy. I wasn’t planning on telling my employer about my plans for the MBA but the program I’m applying to requires at least one letter of recommendation comes from my current boss. What should I do? An mba is not needed for my current role so I’m worried it’ll concern my boss and won’t bode well for me

I am planning to build a successful company. Any thoughts on which B school will be suitable to raise funds and make valuable connections?

Do I have depression? Generally been a good performer, from good (Top 10, Ivy equivalent) school for both undergrad and MBA, F500 experience pre-MBA with 3 promotions over 4 years. Went into consulting over the summer during my MBA, had a horrible experience. Chose to still go back, but now am facing existential dread and want to quit it all and just go do some data entry job and make $50K a year. Why don’t I have any ambition anymore, is this depression?

So I was at a dinner with my MBA classmates, one an H1B, one a white American (slightly right of centre in terms of politics) and im a green card holder, the conversation got really awkward when my H1B pal starts ranting about how oppressive the H1B system and how it shows how racist the US is, the white dude held it in for a while and then said, you knew the rules before you came here, why didn’t you go to Canada or Europe. At this point both of them looked to me to intervene.

What positions at a Big 4 don’t require any sort of certification whatsoever or an MBA at maximum. I currently work in Corporate Finance and don’t know if I have translatable skills. I have no interest in CPA/CISA. Thanks

For last 6 months, I have been approached by headhunters/executive recruiters for multiple VP level (real VP, not the banking VP) opportunities. It has always come down to last 2 or last 3 candidates but I haven't been able to 'close' the deal. I'm not sure where the gap is.
