Any tips for getting into product at Amazon? I’m a big 4 manager, 3 yoe consulting, 6 yoe government, with an MBA and 1 year has a PO at a client. I feel like submitting applications online goes nowhere.

I did my MBA from a non-target college (new IIM). Is it possible to get a Consultant role in MBB now or should I get more experience in here?

What’s a new MBA making at EY PAS these days?

Have worked remotely on investments team at consumer-focused VC for 4 yrs now. Have enjoyed it with lots of board /exec level exposure but honestly getting burnt out now and want to try something different with less volatility but still good pay. Have always loved tech - eg built my firms tech infra; ran point on our tech strategy. Before this did MBA and 1.5yrs IB. What remote opps should I be thinking about that might be a good fit for me in tech? I've been recommended to look into PM roles...

For those of you who got into MBB/Tier 2 consulting through MBA route, did they ask for GMAT score?

I am debating on GMAT waiver.

I’m a Medicaid Consultant for my state with 10 years of experience. My job entails policy and procedures, data analysis, training and working with local government entities and private providers. I want to break into the private sector (Consultation/Business) as the pay is much higher and I have a better chance getting promoted. I have a masters but it’s in psychology, I’m wondering if I should obtain an MBA or should I get certifications? Thoughts?

PhD in Chemistry w/ 8 YOE. Now pursuing a part-time MBA while working as an R&D manager is a chemical company. I don't enjoy chemistry research anymore and want to try something else. I'm interested in consulting and think it could open doors for me to do something different after a few years. My main struggle is that I think I'm pretty old to make such a change (if I can get into consulting) ...not sure if anyone has a similar background that can share the insights.
Btw- M, 36, married w/ kids

What are the chances of getting an interview/job at PwC if I don’t have a prestige top 10 MBA??? I will have a state school MBA and 15 years experience in P&C insurance. I have seen job openings with them for consulting focusing on insurance.

Asked my former manager for a reference for an MBA program and she made comments about how she at forty has only been with two companies and how she expected her juniors to stay with the firm for years on end.
Just so happened that they hired a new person to join our team doing a similar role to mine and I was involved in a series of layoffs later that week. Despite being a “high performer.”

It's been 1.5 years since passing bars and getting my JD/MBA, I'm a rising 2nd yr associate applying to jr in house roles (which req min 3 yoe) but I'm rejected and told I don't have enough experience. Should employers value my pre-LS work?

NYU, Darden, or Michigan MBA for consulting exit opportunities?

Hi there. A friend of mine has 2Yrs of work experience post MBA and has recently applied for a role at Accenture. The role is named ‘ Oracle cloud ERP consultant’. The role is for Birmingham. What salary should she target? Also what negotiation tactic would be best? ( PS - She is moving from India and did her MBA from a B school in India). Thanks!

Need career advice….I graduated 2020 from a target school with a decent academic record. Just started as an EA at a big 3 to get my foot in the door. I have no idea what I want to do. I enjoy engaging with people, research, writing, and marketing/sales. I don’t have a background in data analytics. Are there internal opportunities that would be a good fit? Should I go back and get my MBA? Take more courses while working as an EA?

Is Duke Executive MBA worth it? The money is a lot.

Hi Fishes, I have experience in investment research/ investment banking backend. Can I make a career switch to data analytics? Will that make sense? I don’t have an MBA so big 4s and other consulting firms don’t even consider my resume. Should I go for executive MBA or a data analytics course could also be done?

Looking to pivot into strategy consulting, have only 8 months experience with a prior in-house role and MBA. Happy to drop down a few pegs to make the switch but struggling to gain any traction with job applications (I am mid-40s). Any ideas?
