Thoughts on Digitas Chicago? About to accept a remote role in the media department there, but would love to hear general thoughts about the agency.

Best way to ask for a yearly review? My boss has been putting the conversation off and it's now a couple of months overdue. My role has grown significantly in the team members, projects, and markets I oversee.

I’m Transferring within my company network and the new role would be based in NY. Looking for some salary insight for the New York Market. What range of salary could one expect as a brand strategist with 5 years experience? Specifically at a WPP agency in health and pharma?

For the first time, a recruiter reached out to me and wants to talk about a position they have. I don’t particularly want to leave my company, but I feel like I’m going to want to leave in a year or two, and I’d love to genuinely hear about this offer anyway. Is it a waste of time for the recruiter? Should I tell them upfront I probably won’t leave but I want to talk anyway? Or should I play interested and see what happens?

How bad is it to leave a role after 6 months? For context: it would be for a dream job, and I’ve shown longevity (4 yrs) at my job before this one.

What are standard turnarounds from final round interview to offer? For context- Had final rounds for two roles this week- first on Tuesday for a publisher side role, second agency side yesterday. Both recruiters sent quick notes post interviews saying I should expect an update ASAP.

Anyone ever come across the Business Transformation consulting role?

I have the opportunity to go from a contract to FT role at a start up in-house agency. Obviously I’ve done a good enough job to be invited to join FT, however my CD IS TRASH. He belittles me or completely ignores me, disagrees with me on every point, and gives no actual support or direction.

I’m flattered the overall company wants me to stay and I like the work and love my coworkers. I just don’t know if I can grow like this. Any advice ? Should I mention something to my ECD ?

I've been approached by another agency for an open senior copywriter position. I don't want the job currently (happy where I am) but would like to connect with the CD and stay on their radar.

I started at the beginning of May at a new company as an Account Executive (3 long years as a AAE at my old company) - I was onboarded for two months and then my boss, who I LOVE left for maternity leave for 4 months. Received an offer from Company A this morning. Company B has been moving me quickly through the process this week and reached out this morning saying they put me on the schedule for late this afternoon. Is it rude to email Company B and say I’ve accepted another offer and to cancel the interview or should I go through with the interview and then politely withdraw. The role at B is interesting but A is my top choice.

I took a new role that was a huge pay and responsibility boost compared to my previous job, but tbh I am so miserable and stressed everyday I’m not sure if it was worth it. Feels like the more you move up, the less work/life balance you have.

I accepted a job from a place my friend works. She got me in and I'd be dropping a title level but making the same $ as my previous role. I accept and 1 day later my #1 on the list came through. better title, pay and benefits. The first company is stoked to have me and everyone is nice. I'm sure on the culture. What do you all see happening to the future of the ad biz with all that’s happening? Feel like the pandemic revealed a lot.

Real talk, what’s the difference in pay when you move from NYC to London? I’m currently making 85k in NYC, and found a glassdoor post that said the pay is ~45k (USD) for the same position in London… is it really THAT big of a drop off?

Recruiters/CDs/general hiring folk: can you tell what platform a potential hire built their website on (squarespace, wix etc.) and does it effect your decision in any way? In the same vein, do you notice/care if portfolio sites are mobile response? Are you ever actually looking on your phone? Thank you for any/all insight!

I have a question - why do some hiring managers require a sample project, even from candidates with 10 years of experience in that particular vertical and a portfolio?

Does your agency do exit interviews, or just tell people they’ll get a survey/call and never actually send/ schedule it? If yours does, have you seen any adjustments to fix the causes of the hemorrhaging of employees? Or do they just exist to make people feel heard?

Is it a bad idea to cold email a hiring manager / head of department if there’s a job you’re interested in at their company? Different from seeking advice/networking so wasn’t sure.
