Is there any way to go from T2 to MBB without an MBA? Just graduated from undergrad and wont be going back to school for a bit so just wondering!

I would like to move from tech consulting at big4 to strategy at MBB. How should I plan and go about this transition? Is this a reasonable plan or am I delusional? I’m not in a rush so I have some time to plan and execute.

What are typical “why MBA” answers for candidates coming from MBB? What points should a good answer generally include?

I joined Google as a Product Marketing Manager just under a year ago. I feel immensely lucky to have my role but at the same time, I feel disheartened that there’s little if any career trajectory.

I have always been a hard worker and don’t mind working in a demanding environment. What’s important to me is being in a meritocratic environment where I can make a decent amount of money and there’s a potential for both short and long term growth. Do I go for MBB, product management, or MBA?

MBB horror stories please!

I’m an MS Management Student graduating in June 2023. I applied to over 40 positions within the Big 4/MBB and even with extensive networking, I haven’t heard back from any really. I have an offer from a pretty well-known but less prestigious Consulting Firm, but I’m wondering what my chances even are of going Big 4/MBB if I’m not a campus hire. Will they even consider me for an experienced hire a year or two down the road if they showed no interest this time? Any advice welcome!

Struck out at MBB/T2 for FT MBA recruiting. Didn’t get many interviews which seems to be a theme for many classmates (tough cycle). Is there any hope of getting a post-MBA consulting gig in the spring? Will firms consider me for JIT Experienced Hiring positions?

Got an email from BCG in response to my application saying that they have essentially stopped processing experienced hire applications until late Q1 2022, but that they liked my profile and will contact me again then.
Does anyone know if other MBB/T2 firms in the U.K. are in a similar position?
Also, this seems like a generic email, or do you think the „we liked your profile“ means at least an interview will be likely when they continue to process applications?

If an intern in MBB does not get a full time offer, how likely is she to get hired after he does a year in another consulting firm? Likely or is she blacklisted? Assume she left in good terms (I know interns get guaranteed full time offers in NA, it’s not like this where I live)

If I apply to lateral to MBB using referrals post-MBA.. can I interview for a certain start date 2/3 months out? For example in interview in April 2022 for a July/August start date?
