I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. That said getting to know people only remote has been kind of awkward at times (email only can be tough to decipher) although as a working mom the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Yesterday my main partner asked me to come in Thursday bc he will be there and set a time to meet. Is this good/bad?? kind of nervous!

I am relocating to Charlotte NC November 30th and on the career hunt . I have experience in HR, hospitality, social work, customer service, and education. I’ll graduate with my Master of Social Work in May 2023. I’ve been applying to a few things but no luck. I’m open to trying new career fields and to hybrid, on-site , or remote work. When is it either allowed or seen as OK to start using FTO? I recently started here and while I’m not looking to slack off and take time off, I just want to know how it works. Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?

I need some advice. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration with 20 plus years working in different Healthcare roles. I am working as a PBM Claim Specialist. What other positions can I apply for that is fully remote and better pay? Side note I am thinking of applying to nursing school sometime later down the line. Any advice will be greatly appreciated .

Need help,I am joining @VMware Banglore on 27th June. During interview I told them I need wfh. They said it wil be wfh this entire year. Only mistake I did was i didn't permanent wfh. I took for granted like once I join i can opt for it ( as my VMware friends had said we can opt for it)
Now the offices have started, I am scared if they call me to office , I have 14months son, not willing to leave him n go for office.

So if I ask manager to give me permanent wfh will they agree ?

Is there any one time home office setup allowance still provided for recent new joiners?

Best consulting firms to work for that will allow 100% remote work indefinitely regardless of what clients do?

I've been biking to my home office everyday so I've been wearing gym clothes and bringing a change of clothes with me. When I get in the morning how long can I sit at my desk before going to change?

After working from home for the last 9 months, I do not want to ever go back into the office. I'd like to stay permanently remote. Advice for bringing this topic up with my manager? Or should I hold off on asking until we actually need to return (probably not until May or June at this rate). I feel like I am just as productive wfh and would like the ability to move away from my current city.

A patient of mine essentially asked me to fraudulently bill his insurance the other day. My response was records can be audited at anytime which could result in my license being put at risk. He asked me how many times has that happened? I was like that doesn’t matter. I spent way too much time, money and effort to get to where I am.
