Fishes, Help me in choosing the right place. I got offers from KPMG KGS(25 LPA Fixed) , Mindtree (25 LPA Fixed) and HCL (15 LPA) +Mexico Onsite Salary. I am not so workaholic looks more for Work life balance and job security. Which would be the right for my career ladder.
Does KGS or Mindtree planning to provide permanent WFH after pandemic?
How much take home I can expect from 25LPA fixed?
How is HCL Mexico onsite to work for?

I’m unsure why biglaw firms don’t understand the easiest way to increase retention and reduce burnout is to give us the flexibility to work from home with regularity. I’d take the ability to work from home three days a week in lieu of a special bonus any day. And I will last in this job much longer..

How do you make sure to stay intellectually engaged on every single thing you’re doing? I find that I can do so for several hours on a certain assignment but then have trouble keeping it going the rest of the day and week. I may be suffering from a little burnout and WFH in an apartment is probably adding to distractions. I am in the process of switching firms and want to make sure I’m kicking ass at the next place. Practice is cap mkts/securities law.

Considering taking September - December off of work for a sabbatical. Feeling the burnout after Covid, WFH 24x7 and demanding clients. 5 YoE in same consulting role. 4 months into a new job and need to refocus on WFH work life balance. Any tips or suggestions are welcome!

My team never used to have lunch meetings, but then a new person joined and started setting lunch meetings (and new folks who joined after him follow suit). I decline and propose a new time that is NOT lunch and when everyone is free -_-

Thoughts on how to handle this/call it out? My work life balance is pretty 💩 because of COVID/work from home so having an actual lunch break would be nice

Thinking about leaving the first job that gave me a chance. Been here a couple years, but I’m thinking it’s time to move on. How do I know if it’s the right move or if I’m just burnt out from lack of work/life balance caused by WFH? I’m so nervous to jump.

Is anyone else feeling extreme anxiety about the inevitable return to the office? I’m a junior and can’t wrap my head around how horrible it will be for QOL. It is one thing to bill 14+ hour days when you have no commute, but the thought of balancing a commute and getting any sleep is stressing me out. I am more efficient with WFH and I am afraid I will burnout quicker. Also, I will miss my dog and time with my spouse will take a hit.

I do not mind working in the office but the COMMUTE kills me and my work life balance. With a commute I will not see my kid on weekdays and will spend an extra 6-15 hours in traffic each week.

I have been WFH since the pandemic began and am hoping to continue WFH 90% of the time indefinitely.

Aside from my personal desires I think flexible WFH options is the humane option for employers to make as it benefits work/life balance and lessens environmental impact.

I see a lot of sentiment on here about consultants struggling to be productive the longer wfh goes because of burnout. Honestly, I don't feel nearly as productive as I was when we were on site working 8-8 with the need to appear productive due to 'optics'.

How to get over WFH burnout? Having trouble staying motivated when it’s pretty mouth guaranteed I’m working until 8:30 pm on a daily basis

I started public accounting at a big4 this past January, right before everyone started wfh. I’ve had very messy clients and back to back to back year ends... I’m really feeling the burnout and don’t know how much longer I can last. I have two back to back busy seasons coming up again in January and April but after that I think I’ll be looking for other jobs...I know my issues may seem trivial compared to a seniors workload but I want to know what my options are if I have < 2 years exp.

Am thinking of paying to go to a coworking space for the remainder of our semi-permanent WFH; working from my tiny apartment has been awful for my mental health and work/life balance. Has anyone had an exceptional experience or have advice? 🙏🏻

Is it possible to set boundaries at work after you’ve had none? Does it have to be gradual or just overnight your schedule becomes a fixed 9 to 5, M-F? What’s most effective for 1. you so you don’t go back to old ways, and 2. for retraining your coworkers and management on your level of availability? For more context, ever since wfh started, I’ve just been throwing myself into work and it’s made me miserable and tired. Want to re-establish a healthy work life balance.

Need help explaining to sig other (and myself) why I work so much. I feel lk I’ve been exposed now that I wfh and he can see how long the hours are. I make excuses not to hang out cuz I need to get work done. I’m not unhappy, I love this job. Sometimes the hours seem ridiculous and unreasonable but I feel driven and engaged. But am I just spiraling? Is work life balance really that important? Am I just not that into my sig other?

Maybe it’s burnout from a job where all the cool work benefits you could brag to your friends about are gone bc you wfh now and don’t have access to your cool office and now you work around the clock because there’s no separation between home and work and your agency has done next to nothing to help with that balance and you’ve billed more hours per week than you ever had and now your friends and family are starting to comment on your workload, health, and demeanor.
