Will Workday be more or less relevant to you in a few years? My org is looking at adopting Workday for HR and some FP&A purposes. We try to be a forward looking org and only adopt things that will be relevant a few years down the road. We've heard mixed things about Workday and I just want to hear from those that use it what you think. Will it be more or less relevant to your org a few years from now?
I let an employee know we would not be revisiting their sales commission plan mid year. They threatened to start looking for another job. How does one respond to that
One of my executives thinks he is being endearing by calling women "Baby" "Gorgeous" "Sweetie" and he calls men "handsome". I have had multiple complaints against him from female employees and vendors. Does anyone know of any good training courses or advice that can help in this scenario?
I wanted to pass along a sales class opportunity for all of yall. I will add the disclaimer that I am in no way making any commission by showing you this. In fact, I am paying myself to take this course. The presenter Jamal is a down-to-earth guy that has a passion for sharing what he has learned in his sales career. He is responsible for bringing in $160M projects at Oracle. Give the course a look if you are interested.
I am working on putting together a training for hiring managers on how to interview. What are the best resources that you have found out there?
Running a 360 process for a company. If one of my managers ask me to provide peer feedback on them - should I?
I’m studying for the SHRM-CP with the Mometrix (study guides, online course, and flash cards), however I’m super overwhelmed with all of the information. What are some best practices to ensure I grasp all of the concept ? Any advice would be much appreciated!!!
My small business is looking into sales force for around 15 licenses. Anyone work at a small business and have success with sales force? Any tips on target price for the entry level stuff?
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
I’m curious to see what the average pay for a campus recruiter in NYC is. I’m one year into this role, came in entry level, and already got promoted, but I want to make sure I’m getting fairly compensated. Any other recruiters here?
I have a question for the sales managers out there. What motivated you to pursue a career change from front line sales to managing a team of sales professionals? I ask, because as I look to the future I am wondering if just staying on the front lines will be more lucrative then entering management.
With the long-weekend, lets do a book thread. Give me your favorite sales book - here's mine - How To Win Friends and Influence People
How has COVID-19 impacted your company and your benefits? (Examples: layoffs, furloughs, terminations, no more 401K matching, no promotions, hiring freeze?) Please share :)
Just realized, I didn’t max out my 401k this year. Any way I can still contribute and count towards 2018 cap?
Third year associate. Do you still raise your hand for "big" or "good" deals? I still do but I'm wondering why...next time I think I'm only volunteering if it isn't a deal type I've done before.
Do you think interns at consulting firms, MBB and Big 4, would still have a guaranteed full time offer this summer/fall?
How do you show a promotion on a resume? Do you list out old and new position and show dates for both or do you just show the new position and give the dates you've been at the company?
Got an interview at Mckinsey digital but got an offer from a boutique digital agency. Any insights about mckinsey digital as a uxer?
All these political posts and hatred! I miss the posts about chase sapphire! We were all so united in terms of how much we hated them...
Recently freed from the consulting game (starting end of next week) with a great severance and new energy around RE. Closed our first REPE fund last year as well as a sizeable personal portfolio in a large midwestern city, all on the side. If you’re accredited and interested in putting some $ to work in this super low yield environment, ping me! Ramping up the next fund soon.
Turned 30 and got promoted to Manager this year and decided to gift myself a Rolex. My Bf thinks it’s an over the top gift for “just” a manager promotion. Thoughts?
You’re young and unemployed. A friend set up a meeting with a big shot at a good agency, who’s not hiring. What’s your attitude and what what questions do you ask?
EY fishes, could you please give me a range of a seniors salary in EY Advisory Services - IT Risk Assurance practice?
Probably the wrong crowd for this but does anyone have any experience with College of Charleston’s MBA. I specifically want to pivot away from my industry and have a career in Charleston itself.
