Curious what the base and commission structure is for inside sales and associate director of sales in biotech (also anyone else who wants to share pls put industry). Paid hourly or salary? At the biotech company I work at avg inside sales is $62,632 with a $3500 per quarter cap. Commission structure is % based on sales quota reached vs capped (not a direct % of sales). I’m underpaid at $53000 with $3500 cap per quarter.

Anyone got a six figure base as an AE? Hunting around for companies with 6-fig base and similar commission. Seems to be mostly field / enterprise pay.

Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.

So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?

I might have a spending problem. I don’t think (?) I have a full blown addiction, but I’m cleaning out my closet and finding stuff that is few years old, still with the tags on, and lots of duplicates. I get a dopamine hit when I find a good deal and I’m wondering if it’s going too far. I can pay my bills, but I’m wasting a lot of $$ on things I don’t need. I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.
