You’re constantly showing up for everyone else, but who’s showing up for you? I started an initiative to coach HR/people leaders because I know what it’s like to be doing all the things for everyone else with little support or focus on your own well-being, growth and development. It’s a lonely game! I’d be delighted to create the space to make you a priority. Would love to offer a free session, or simply connect: https://www.chrisrollins.me/peopleleaders.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!
What training or guidance are you giving managers at your firms about managing hybrid teams? There is a lot out there on remote teams, but a lot of us are going back three days a week which means people at home and people in the room. Any tips to pass on?
Good morning, I work for Solugenix placing top notch candidates at companies throughout the US. I just started at Solugenix so anyone who needs any assistance either finding a job or looking for candidates please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
Looking for advice on project management software or tools for HR consulting. Our firm doesn’t have anything that is standard or used at all, and while some of us are starting to venture into using Microsoft Teams, I feel like there are so many tools out there and we could be doing things way more efficiently. We work in small client teams (1-3 team members per client usually) and it’s a mix of strategy, tactical, and outsourced HR work. Any suggestions?
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?

I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Are you folks happy with your decision to make a career in sales? I’m young working in tech sales, but also have my bachelors in psychology, and could see my self happily going for my masters maybe even PHD and being a counselor.
I am at the 2nd round of my interview for the Recruiter Position for a German Company in Germany. I want to ask what should I prepare for this interview and which situations could they give me to check my Recruitment knowledge? Basic questions have been asked in the first interview.
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Looking for feedback on Paylocity and UKG payroll HRIS. We have 250 employees and rapidly growing company.
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
So, my boss just told me that all lives matter. Let me know if you hear about any executive HR openings, I have 16 years of global HR experience.
Can anyone share some insight into what someone should expect with the skills interview at Accenture?
Anyone take courses/get a degree from Harvard Extension School? Experience? Was it worth it? Are you also able to build a network? Realize it’s not like an MBA, but that doesn’t fit my life now .
Guys, Need an appropriate info on this: I want to know when does the review cycle for yearly hike happens in CTS. I've been given a joining date mid September. Just want to know that If I join by mid August or mid September, then will I be eligible for the annual hike next year? Not asking about promotion cycle. Need to know the exact rule - like in which month does review happens, when is hike% revealed and given, etc. Kindly share your exact and valuable inputs.
How do you bring up a sign on bonus when you’re being hired from another firm. For example, if their original offer was $110K with no sign on, what would the best approach be to successfully negotiate a sign on?
Officially hitting burn out and about to quit my job without a new job lined up. I am sick of the nonsense and the fact that I can’t even take a bathroom break without bringing my phone with me to answer email or texts. I am sick of the fact that I have direct reports who make more than me. I am sick of the fact that when I bring up concerns with my manager I am told I am wrong. I am sick of the fact that I have held the same position for 7 years without a promotion. I.AM.DONE.
Just got rejected from my 7th role with FAANG while all my friends around me are getting offers left and right. Although I feel like career is going through sh*t, I am still so lucky. I have friends and family that love me and that beats any offers from top companies. I have to keep that in mind as not to let myself feel like I’m a failure in life.
Hello Everyone, I am Looking for a job switch in storage domain. Total Experience/ relevant YOE: 5+ Domain : Data Storage Technologies: NetApp, NAS, SAN, FAS, backup, replication Please let me know if any vacancies in your respective organisations Thank you in advance
They say you’re supposed to have 4x salary in your retirement accounts by age 45. Is that true for us as well? Seems really tough to do with the caps on how much you can put into those accounts
Taking some time off. Need some book recommendations. Some light interesting non-fiction. No self help or management books. Just interesting topics that won’t make me think about work.
The offer salary should make you smile
What is the best way to learn about different roles in FAANG? I was a MBB consultant in India. I am in the US now with a AI products company. I work well on the intersection of technology and business. I have conceptualised and deployed multiple enterprise products over the last 2 years. I am looking to move to a bigger organization now. However I don't want to get into corporate strategy roles. What are some other roles that could be a good fit for me?
Can someone list what are the benefits Baker Tilly provide? For example, I heard about unlimited PTO, how does the 401k works, how is medical, what other benefits?
Camp+King what’s the vibe and culture like?
What are everyone’s thoughts on big wage gaps in a couple. My boyfriend makes about 40k now and realistically won’t make more than 70k in his chosen career. I make more than double what he makes now and suspect that wage gap will only keep increasing. Is this anyone else’s situation? I don’t know how to handle as we have more shared expense (ie rent). Splitting payments equally doesn’t seem fair since I’m pushing for a nicer and more expensive place but I also don’t want to make him feel bad.
The more pedestrian your intellect, the better fit you are at D Heard of a colleague with an FRM charter being laid off today. Overall excellent person. And you won't believe who they promote year after year.. the character, curiosity and quality of the lifers Don't join this firm if you for a love of learning and to be inspired. Join if you are a middling who wants a good brand to hack ahead in life and rise above your station
If you had a choice to move to a big 4 in Bermuda or Cayman, which would you pick and why?
Anyone at Alix care to share VP compensation. Particularly in turnaround and restructuring
As an experienced hire interviewing, what should you not share about your current experience? I think I have a pretty good common sense understanding of this (obviously don’t share clients and identifying client info, for example), but would interested to hear what others think as I don’t want to come across as unprofessional, but also need to give detailed answers to the PEI portion. I assume centering on personal impact on casework is fine, but want to make sure I’m not completely off. Thanks!
Anyone familiar with MD+MBA programs? Left PwC for specialty firm, realizing I love life sciences and I have read medical publications for fun even in college. Likewise I love business
