Time for a bit of a reality check. This is going to be a difficult if not impossible move at this point in your career. There’s nothing “midsize” about K&E or White & Case, and they aren’t going to take an 11+ year lawyer as a corporate first year. Most of tech is in hiring freeze/layoff mode, and you’re going to have the same problem switching practice groups there as well.
I guess I should have reframed there question, I’m simply asking if anyone has referral to those companies. I’m coming from a small to mid size firm.
No, I believe OP can do it. Maybe not exactly what he wants, but something similar, if he frames his practice and experience correctly to fit what he wants. But this will be hard - OP will have to put in the hours to do that. Forget WLB, weekend, evenings. But if you make enough sacrifice, you could do it.
