Quarantined with a 1.5 year old baby for the past three months and finally had a sub nanny coming in this week. Thought it would be a relief but the little one wouldn’t stop howling until me or hubby picks him up and plays with him. He stops eating and sleeping and letting us sleep. I’m not sure how long this adjustment period would last but I’m ready to quit my consulting job.

Looking for advice for investing in these two options. Say I have $100k by October saved up
1) Put 10k into iBonds and $90k as downpyament and closing costs for a property (I’ll need to put in 20%, already talked to several mortgage agents)
2) Put $0 in ibonds and put all the $100k in the home investing (given it’s a little more of an expensive property, given some other factors - location, size, etc)

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?

Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. Background: no one on my working team lives in the same office, I’m just at the US HQ.
