BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

Ib is better for PE, unless you’re doing a lot of due diligence work. Are banks hiring rn? I’d be curious to know that
Interested to know how you doin tech consulting into banking. Can you share your path/experience?
C2 if you are only 2 years out of top undergrad with a strong GPA and have strong test scores (SAT, GMAT) then you have a pretty good shot at reaching out and networking into an interview for an analyst/ pre MBA role. Every year after the 2nd it comes more tough to pivot. Remember there are cases where candidates from top programs barely miss the opportunity to work in strategy consulting and have to settle for TC in order to be employed. Best of luck OP! Believe you are doing the right move if you eventually want to work on the deal side in PE.
I’d say no unless you *really* want to do IB and PE
Promotion to senior consultant is coming soon. Is it worth doing IB for the sake of having the experience?
I've been in tech consulting but am interested in trying something in the finance/valuation space just to try it. But not sure if the grind is worth it
Yes. It’s basically the only way to get a shot at PE. You will have close to 0 chance of breaking in with only TC work experience. That said, major kudos on getting the interview - I was on the same boat and thought it was a futile effort.
What kind of consulting experience? How’d you go about spinning it to secure interviews? Curious because in similar position w/finance major and keep considering IB
Whoops I see it was TC. 2nd question still applies haha
Lol
Life is long give it a shot
