I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.
Lol have fun

Guys, I got an offer letter from Tata Consultancy
Few observations I have where I need your suggestion.
1. Fixed Basic is only 18% of CTC. I think the only benefit from this is lower Retirals deductions.
2. There is one "Personal allowance" that is almost 70% of the BoB. Any benefit from this on tax?

How much does the PA role pay? Considering the industry role is about to IPO soon, I’d go with that. Not sure how long you’ve been out of public accounting, but core federal tax managers in my office are working past midnight almost every night, 6-7 days a week, and it’s not even “busy season” yet. You might be working that at your current job, but at least the pay is way better
So you started in public? Are you going back to the same firm? I would just consider the reasons why you left in the first place, and make sure those concerns no longer exist, either because of a different group, a different level (so you have more control/flexibility than you did when at a lower level), higher pay now, etc. You can certainly make a great career in public if you value the “pros” and accept the “cons”.
Started in public, B4 for about 5 years. This would be a different firm. Regional with good reputation and completely different work. I do believe I have 2 solid options here which makes it tough.
I would definitely go with the IPO… not only because of the RSU’a but also because going through a successful exit is extremely valuable experience
Yeah - awesome resume builder
Interested on what made you sick of your current in house gig. Is it just not challenging?
Yeah, two years in. Year one was interesting. Year two was just a repeat more or less. Too compliance heavy for me.
Make sure you go to big four if you do
Reason I say that is I personally don’t have big four on my resumé and I wish I had
I have no idea why I would go back to PA but if I do I want that stamp haha
