Hi! I’ve been approached by Securonix for a Sales Director role in NA. I know the field and their competitors. The pay is good but I’ve seen a handful of websites with employee rating that is really bad. Each site has roughly 10 reviews but most are negative. Mostly referring to toxic culture and zero work life balance. How true is this in this sales org and the company in general? This is a backfill role after a 3 year tenure for the person who left.

I interviewed with the team like a month ago, the recruiter called me the next day and told me that congrats, everyone likes me and told that they were working on my official offer. 3 weeks later, nothing. Compliance question here, I have always thought of the SALT deduction on the fed return as a perm item & have treated as such in such sch M-3. I see that some people put it as a temp on sch M-3. What is the justification for treating it as a temp on the M-3. You don’t set up a deferred on the def RF for the state tax deduct & it is also a rate impacting item (I know that some temps can be rate impacting). But this all leaves me to side with perm. Does anyone know the logic behind temp treatment?

After working 5+ years and letting life happen, I ended up back with a staff title (no career/group change). Everyone said I was doing well throughout my career. But most of peers are now managers, senior managers, directors, controllers, etc. I really don’t want to compare, but how do I deal with this so it doesn’t bother me? Has anyone else been in this situation? I feel partly ashamed because all of the work I put in didn’t get me very far in my career.
