What do you like about working in tech ?
The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.

I loved having an induction. Inductions are more painful but I felt very good about my labor starting in the hospital and having access to care the whole time. I did try some old wives tales such as raspberry leaf tea and it didn’t work for me.
I did every trick under the sun with the exception of acupuncture, and I still ended up with an induction at 41+3, with my second, despite being 2 cm at 38 weeks. I say this not to stress you out… but! My labor was insanely short and out in like, 2 pushes. You got this!
Food:
Dates
Pineapple
Spicy foods - including a supposedly infamous for inducing labor spicy eggplant parm. I actually made a pineapple/date/jalepeno smoothie that is great for non-pregnancy too!
Red raspberry leaf tea
Activity:
Expressing colustrum
Walking, both regular long walks and curb walking
Side stepping up and down stairs
Pedicure/massage chair
Miles circuit daily
3 membrane sweeps
And more I think I’m forgetting..
Nothing is guaranteed and your body needs to be ready for any of these “tricks” to work. But playing with ankle pressure points helped me the first time. Second time nothing worked until I started hand expressing colostrum but I think by that point my body was ready since I had been doing all the things for weeks🫠 Stay active and honestly stopping those vaginal checks might be most helpful - those numbers mean absolutely nothing and just create anxiety, which end up slowing you down. good luck mama!
Forgot to say I also got a massage between the two expressions sessions
Membrane sweep and miles circuit, but tbh both will only work if your body is pretty much ready to go into labor. My second was a very stubborn squatter (still is very stubborn lol) and waited until I was 42 weeks exactly. Had a membrane sweep as a last effort the day before a scheduled induction and went into labor and he was out by the time I was supposed to be induced. Easiest labor ever!!
Rising Star
Go get a 90min prenatal massage and/or acupuncture
Eating spicy food - specifically buldok noodles. Lol idk if there’s any truth to this old wives tale for spicy food but it worked for me
Pump
Get a membrane sweep
I got a pedicure and sat in the massage chair at 38w 6d and my water broke a few hours later. Who knows if it was related at all but 🤷♀️
I heard going on a swing will do it. I went into labor before getting a chance to try it. Anyone ever do this?
I got a membrane sweep. Not an old wives tale, but it works.
I really credit dates (the fruit) & sex to being so effaced when I went into labor. I ate 3 lara bars a day because I don’t like the taste of dates that much.
