One of my best friends growing up just passed away. We lost contact with each other a year or two after graduating high school and I recently came to learn he was was battling cancer the past 5 years and ultimately succumbed to the illness. He hid it well from everyone and led a very private life during it all. To make matters worse, he had just turned 25. Seeing pictures of the condition he was in towards the end of his fight broke my heart. I wish I had known so I could’ve been there for him.

I read a lot of posts here about difficult bosses, difficult clients, difficult partners, terrible briefs and terrible agencies. All that might be true. But it’s getting old. What I’d be interested in hearing about are the stories of how people have overcome the challenges. How did you sell that big idea? How did you fix a relationship? The world is not going to get easier. So maybe we can help each other get better at dealing with it. Who had a win recently? How did you do it?

Do you think you and your significant other should have similar personalities? My significant other and I are doing long distance and I feel like when I FaceTime with him, I emote more and show interest by asking more questions but from his end, he doesn’t always have a reaction or just nods, and it makes me feel like he’s uninterested. On his end he sees it as he’s comfortable.

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. I am an unmarried working man in his 30s with a southern mother. I really want to move out of my parents place for social reasons etc. I still hangout with friends a lot but it’s just a hassle having to drive a hour or so to kick it with them. So my dilemma is I enjoy saving $ on rent (yes I know can’t have both) but the main reason for me moving back home is so that I can save and buy a house.
