Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Sometimes it’s a “try before you buy” kind of situation where they want to see how things go before committing to FT right off the bat. I’ve done one of those before, and it was kinda weird being somewhat a part of the team but not completely since you’re FL.
Sounds like another way agencies are trying to take advantage of freelancers right now.
Legally they have to in a lot of states (like ny)
Does it offer any more security? Seen a lot of places laying off freelancers first unfortunately
It’s an agency I wouldn’t necessarily want to work for full-time and in a different city than where I live so just the three month contract is fine. I’m just worried I’ll be pulling in a lower take-home for benefits I don’t necessarily want or need and they’ll have more license to work me long hours.
You could always ask the people who made the offer, that’s one way to go at it.
Will you be paid via a third-party contingent workers company? If so, that’s pretty standard.
