Oh man. Idk which is worse, the $5 or the 644 trips. FML. I need to rethink my life choices. 😣
Uber at ORD is terrible. Always a longer wait than what the apps says because the lot is one lane in and out with high traffic. I’ve known people to wait 30+ minutes. Always order as you’re getting off the plane, even then you might have a wait
U can always cancel and get a new one
I end up getting a taxi, no wait, and cancel. I don’t get a fee despite having ordered 10 mins ago. Seems like Uber driver was stalling on purpose? Maybe he was at lunch and didn’t want to cancel because it would get him to bottom of queue? What gives? Is Uber always this horrible at ORD?
Yes. Uber is this horrible at ord. I just take a cab its faster
He could have legimately still been in the rideshare lot. They have to leave that lot single file. I don't understand how such a busy airport has such a horrible setup for uber/lyft.
On Thursday nights I call the uber as soon as I touch down and usually still have to wait.
That's how Uber is at ORD.
I've had that happen a ton of times (not at ORD just in general). The reasons I've seen are the driver was out of their car talking and didn't see the ride, they were using a restroom, and once they were getting gas. It drives me nuts that they don't mark themselves offline or that Uber doesn't do something if there's no movement within a threshold
They have to actively accept it, they can't get assigned a ride without seeing it
Welcome to ORD. The driver was likely stuck and not stalling though. Rideshare out of ORD is a 💩 show
It's not just Uber. It's the way the city of Chicago has designed the ride sharing concept. It absolutely sucks. The lot is constantly backed up with traffic which is why they take forever. Let's all team up and a letter to a government official to do something about b
You say that like it's not intentional
The rideshare lot has awful congestion he was probably stuck
Just dispute the charge in the Uber app they give it back almost 100% of the time
It’s not uncommon for it to take that long. Cabs are faster
