Honestly hits a little too close to home

Unfortunately, Many are getting impacted by today's layoffs across the organisations and it is super hard to cope up mentally and financially. I came across few openings related to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) consultants, experience ranging 4-12 Yrs. Please reach out to Teja Chandrashekar (teja@vdigitise.com), Phone: 7672030466. Hope this can help some of you to get back onto the feet. Kindly like, comment or share for better reach. Thanks much!! #experience #share #help #consultants

I met my first friends in Boston through my college alumni group.
I'll be your friend.
Honestly, I just meet people at events and ask to hang out later. It's tough.
I’m a new mom too!! I’ll be your friend! I’ve found it tough to meet other women in Boston
Check out Boston Young Professional Association and meetup.com.
I used to know the people that ran it. It’s been a few years so I think all or most of them are no longer involved. I had a lot of fun at their events and made some friends in the process.
I lived there for 5 years and never found a group. I think the issue is a lot of people there are from MA or nearby, their hometown friends and college friends live in Boston and they just stay in the same friend group. I’ve hardly met any people that met their friends in Boston and not at school
Eventbrite, meetup.com, or a volunteer org?
I’m in the same boat… we have a few couple friends, but I kinda wished I had a group of girlfriends just on my own (love my husband.. but there’s only so much football I can watch h on the weekends…)
I’ve met close friends through VOLO. Also joining a running group or a community oriented gym. Any CrossFit gym is probably a good bet or Everybody Fights (despite the name very welcoming)

I second this. I met some really good friends playing in Volo.

Another vote for college alumni groups. Also, are you religious at all? Churches can be a great place to meet folks, and there are plenty of big, progressive churches in town. Plus, you might get something out of it, haha.
I go to the 11.
Anyone want to set up puppy play dates? I have small dogs that do well with other small ones or low energy big dogs :)
There is a find a friend function in Bumble called Bumble BFF - as with a dating app, YMMV, people are people, but I've met a few really interesting people on it. Definitely recommend giving it a go
I’ve found that’s hard to do without a house and a yard for people to hang out.
There are a ton of people in the same boat on this thread. Would there be interest in doing a happy hour Friday to try and get people together?
