I’m a big fan of starting with the book psychology of money by Morgan housel.
It depends on where you are in your journey and what you are interested in.
If you are still heavily in debt, a lot of people like Dave Ramsey. The key learning here is to get rid of all high interest debt, using the debt snowball technique. However, he is against all debt, which I disagree with, e.g. why pay off your mortgage if your interest is at 2%?
Overall, I like JL Collins and a Simple Path to Wealth. Occam's Razor, right? Simple and effective way to financial independence.
For overall updates on the general economy and single family investing, I like Michael Zuber of OneRentalAtaTime.
Brian Kim of ClearValueTax is useful in giving his interpretation of government updates, e.g. the fed lowering interest rates, the labor data coming out.
If you like real estate, biggerpockets is one of the best resources.
My sperm donor was my first mentor, and then after I went no contact with him, I found that Fidelity has a LOT of resources that have helped.
Investopedia and Motley Fool have been helpful too.
There are many YouTuber talking about retirement, tax strategy, and budgeting.
Yes, but watch for the ones that are trying to sell you courses or pushing risky or high fee investments.
I like The Money Guy, they have similar steps to Dave Ramsey but without the urgency to pay down low interest debt or aversion to credit cards as long as you can pay them off monthly.
The thing that helped me the most is the book I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi (you just have to overlook the offputting title.) Very practical advice and how to implement it. He also had a podcast and Netflix show with the same name where he basically counsels couples about their financial situations and the psychology behind it.
